Practical Info

Which shoes should you wear?

We recommend that you wear shoes that do not pinch your toes and that you can turn and walk backwards in – possibly with a little heel for the followers. Drivers can start with a pair of shoes with a thin, flat sole. Rubber soles are not suitable.

Workshops / Practica / Milonga

The lessons are based on practicing steps and techniques that will enable you to dance tango outside at the dance venues, which are called “Milonga” all over the world. Here the dancers show up, chat and invite each other for a dance. On the floor, no one stops and practices steps.
You can how up alone or make an appointment with a partner. We recommend that you go to the city’s milongas early in your tango journey – dancing socially is a big part of tango. There are quite a few milongas, so please ask your teacher if you are in doubt. You can find an overview of milongas and other events in Copenhagen, Malmö and Denmark here: tango.dk

A practica is where you can practice the steps and figures that are not quite familiar. There is always a teacher who can guide you. Here it is an advantage to show up with a partner. At M2tango Studio, our practica is on Saturdays from 3:30 to 5:30 PM on Kapelvej in Nørrebro. For those attending beginner classes, it is completely free.
