The seminar is from 17:00-20:00 the 6th & 7 th and 13:00-16:00 the 8th of August.
What happens when you experience tango from both sides of the embrace? Dancing both roles offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of connection, communication and the shared creation of the dance.
This 3-day intensive is for tango dancers who are curious about exploring the dance from both perspectives. By stepping into both roles, we develop a richer understanding of what happens within the embrace and discover new possibilities for communication, musicality and expression.
Rather than seeing tango as two separate roles, we will explore it as a shared conversation. Experiencing both leading and following can strengthen our sensitivity, adaptability and awareness, while opening the door to a more creative and integrated way of dancing.
Starting from grounding, balance and partner connection, we will investigate the structure of the dance and the qualities that allow us to move fluidly between roles.
During the intensive, we will explore:
Goal:
To deepen your understanding of tango as a shared experience, expand your versatility as a dancer and discover new levels of connection, creativity and freedom within the embrace.
You do not need experience in both roles to participate, but you should feel comfortable in at least one role and be curious to explore the other. The teaching will be adapted to the experience and needs of the participants. We rotate both partners and roles throughout the course, so you are welcome to join with or without a partner.
